Forward is the Only Way

As I reflect on the highlights and achievements of 2024, I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of bouncing back. It’s a question I often pose to my TwoPoint0 clients:
When were you the happiest, the most yourself, and what parts of your past self would you like to bring back?
For many, the answers include a body they once had, a time they felt full of energy, or when their hair was at its shiniest. We often romanticize the past and want to return to it. But why go back?
While it’s wonderful to draw inspiration from who we once were, moving backward is still backward movement. Instead, we should celebrate not only the version of ourselves we admired but also the journey that brought us to where we are today. Even small accomplishments are proof of resilience, growth, and the ability to navigate life’s twists and turns.
What if, instead of bouncing back, we bounced forward? What if we took the lessons, energy, and wisdom from our past selves and channeled them into building a better, more confident version of ourselves?
It’s not about reclaiming who we used to be—it’s about transforming into who we are meant to become. Future you. A stronger, wiser, and more confident you, you TwoPoint0.
