I am Selfish, and I Own it!
Updated: Feb 4

Selfish has earned a bad reputation, and honestly? It makes no sense. Let’s set the record straight: being selfish is about prioritizing yourself, your happiness, and your well-being. I am proudly selfish—I read to enrich my mind, I exercise to keep a strong and healthy body, I spend time alone to recharge and reconnect, and I pursue interests and hobbies that make me happy. Looking after yourself first isn’t indulgent; it’s essential. Filling your own cup before pouring into others is how you show up as your best self. When you invest in your well-being, you’re not just happier—you’re more grounded, fulfilled, and even more competent in everything you do. Taking care of yourself isn’t just about feeling good; it’s about performing better, too. As we grow up, we tend to forget about play. But rediscovering an old hobby, trying something new, or simply carving out time to enjoy life keeps you energized and alive. Be selfish and own it. Schedule your me time and your play time, choose to invest in yourself, nurture your happiness, and prioritize your well-being. The better you feel, the better you show up—for yourself and for everyone around you. Want some ideas on where to start? Drop me a line.
